Not an HOA. A Neighborhood Association.

One thing we’d like neighbors to understand is that the Indian Hills Neighborhood Association (IHNA) is not a Homeowners Association (HOA).

Membership is 100% voluntary. No one is required to join, participate, attend meetings, or pay dues. There are no mandatory monthly or annual fees, and IHNA has no legal authority over your property.

We cannot:

  • Fine you because your grass is too tall.
  • Tell you what color to paint your house.
  • Dictate where you park.
  • Enforce deed restrictions or HOA rules.

Whether you live in a section of Indian Hills that has its own HOA or in a section that does not, that has no connection to the Neighborhood Association or your ability to participate. Every resident of Indian Hills is part of our neighborhood community and has a voice.

You don’t have to own a home to belong here. Whether you rent or own, have lived in Indian Hills for 20 years or moved in last month, you are part of this neighborhood and have a place in our community. Renters and homeowners alike contribute to the character, safety, and vitality of Indian Hills. If you live here, you belong here, and your voice matters.

The goal of IHNA is community, not conformity. Our purpose is not to regulate our neighbors. Our purpose is to serve them: to help neighbors connect, communicate, and work together on issues that affect all of us.

We exist to:

  • Bring neighbors together.
  • Organize community events such as block parties, clean-up days, and neighborhood gatherings.
  • Share information about issues affecting our area.
  • Provide a unified neighborhood voice when working with City Hall on matters such as traffic, parks, public safety, infrastructure, and opportunities to improve and refresh our neighborhood.

We believe the best neighborhoods are built when neighbors know one another, work together, and invest in their community. Let’s invest in Indian Hills today so that it remains a healthy, welcoming, and vibrant neighborhood for the next generation.

Let’s invest in each other. Let’s make a difference where we can, when we can, right here in our own backyards. We love this community and simply want to bring people together.
